Hiring an agency is easier when you know what to ask. Use these six checks before you sign anything.
1. Ask for work in your category
Ask to see campaigns for businesses similar to yours, with the goal and the outcome. Screenshots of followers are not outcomes. Leads, enquiries and sales are.
2. Understand who does the work
Find out whether the team is in-house or outsourced, and who your day-to-day contact is.
3. Get a written scope and price
The proposal should list deliverables per month, ad budget handled separately, contract length and exit terms.
4. Check how they report
You should receive a monthly report with leads, cost per lead and what changes are planned next.
5. Be careful with guarantees
Nobody controls Google or Meta. Promises of guaranteed number one rankings or fixed sales should be a warning.
6. Check production capability
Agencies that can shoot video, design and build websites in-house move faster and keep your brand consistent.
